Winners of the 2007 Greens Norton Allotment Judging

This year we used a Ballot vote from all the plot holders to determine the winners of the following categories which proved to be very successful.

Mike Alger Plot la & 3 The Overall Winner for Best Allotment (10 rod)

AlfBoswell Plot 10 Runner up (10 rod)

Mike Alger Plot la & 3 Winner for Best Kept Allotment

Tony Allen Plot Sb Best Kept Allotment (5 rod)

Ivor Gardner Plot 6a & 9b Most Innovative

Mike Alger Plot la Prettiest Plot

K. Turner Plot 9a Most Improved Plot

Special Commendation Certificate went to Sally Elliot and Richard Jones for Most Improved plot — Plot No. 17

The trophies were presented in the afternoon of the allotment’s Annual Open Day on 18 August 2007. Earlier in the day there was an fundraising opportunity for visitors to purchase surplus fruit, vegetables and flowers and plants. The weather was rather windy and showery but fortunately this did not greatly affect the enthusiasm of the visitors and allotment holders.
