Greens Norton Pre-school is held in the Village Hall, Greens Norton. This Pre-school has a record which is probably unique - over 30 years of preparing boys and girls of this area for their later schooling. Many of them are now parents who send their own children to us. They receive up-to-date guidance, which today's standards require, provided with the same thoroughness, care and fun, which their parents enjoyed. We passed our latest OFSTED inspection with flying colours, receiving the highest appraisal score available. Both OFSTED and Social Services reports are always available to parents.

AIMS

The Pre-school aims to enhance the development and education of children under school age. It provides a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Its framework ensures equality of opportunity for all children and their families.

• 7 members of staff of whom 3-5 are on duty each day.

Our Pre-school meets Monday to Friday from 9am to midday during the school term.

STAFF

Green's Norton Pre-School is a member of The Pre-school Learning Alliance, and the Staff keep up with the modern methods of child care by regularly attending the courses offered. All the staff are local, have families of their own and together possess many years of experience with young children, and most hold current First Aid Certificates.

Hilary Williams has worked at the Play-Group since 1991, and is NNEB qualified. Hilary became Play Group Supervisor September'99, when Rachel Jones retired after 30 years in charge.

Michelle Olliffe and Tula Balding are joint Deputies and are currently completing the DPP course through CACHE and APLA.

Ros Brettle, Lindsay Thomas, Alison Duffield and Kay Miller complete the team. Lindsay holds an NVQ level 2 in Child Care, and Alison is currently working towards the Level 2 Qualification.
